|

I have a water lose from the cylinder block. Is beside the water drain plug on the left bank of cylinders (2 & 4). I think that what the 1983 workshop manual calls Plug of water galleries in cylinther block, is cracked. Is like a rounded plug of about 1 inch diameter.
Any tips to fix this? How to take it out? Can I buy a new one? Part No? How to put one back again? The manual talks about to use a sealing compound: Loctite 601 (green). What is this? It still exists?
Thanks in advance!

Yes, you can get new core plugs from almost any motor factor, and as for sealant, you should be able to use any sort of sensible gasket material / sealant. The place you get the core plug from should be able to help. _________________ Alfa Sprint QV - Gone to a better home and in happier health for it

You can carefully put a cut in it with a metal chisel, then use the tip of a large screwdriver to lever it out. Refit using a socket that just fits inside it as a drift and tap in carefully.Other points as Cris C.
