Its getting there Al, just a hell of a lot longer than expected, its better than the first time I had it back but a trip to Spa then back to the body shop, the shere aggressivness of the car now slightly destracts from the bad finish, a bit more sanding and polish sould see it right. _________________ PHAT 33 |

The body shop/garage has not come back to me with a drop off date so in the mean time I have stripped most of the interior as its now having a roll cage put in to stiffen up the chassis, since the class f springs went on I notice creeks when driving slowly over uneven ground i.e my drive way to the road has different angles. _________________ PHAT 33 |

No Al, I asked about re-inforcing the cage to the front chassis rails but thats an engine out job, I will be at some time cutting a semi circle out the front chassis rails to give the drive shafts a few more inches in travel which means i can cut the bump stops down the same length. _________________ PHAT 33 |

I was refering to the standard ones from a ser 3, all you would have to do is drill 4 holes in the bulk head at the top nearest to the engine. Then at the bottom where the crossmember bolts come through there is a place for the bars to be bolted into, you my need to make these on a ser 2.
Do you want a pic of what i mean? _________________ x2 33 16v

I Think I know what your on about Al, the bars are just behind the dizzy and run diagonally down to the chassis. _________________ PHAT 33 |

Well I have finally dropped the car off, 3 years after getting it back with the bad body work and I have met the poor new body shop owner as to what needs doing. He has 1 month to do it ready for the Chatham Alfa Meet in August. _________________ PHAT 33 |
