When players start their journey in PoE 2, many smart adventurers quickly learn one key trick: saving Gemcutter’s Prisms (GCPs) can make their whole build much stronger later. These shiny items are more than just simple upgrade materials — they help your skill gems grow faster and stronger. This is why many players stack them early while also looking for useful PoE 2 items that match their build.

First, Gemcutter’s Prisms improve the quality of a skill gem. Quality might look small at first, like a few percentage points, but in PoE 2, even a tiny boost can change everything. More quality can mean more damage, faster attack speed, better range, or improved defenses. Because of this, players usually keep GCPs instead of spending them right away.
