|
|
Hi Guys,
as i mentioned in an earlier post, i wasted the throttle cable on my 33 1.7 i.e ('92) by melting ! (btw today the engine started again without problems so the ecu does not seem to have been damaged by he shortcircuit! ).
Now to my question: Is replacing the throttle cable straightforward? Any special things to watch out for? How do i adjust the throttle cable after putting it on, so the butterlfly moves in the correct range?
Any advice is, as always, greatly aprreciated!
Regards

Hi, I had it done on 1.5 IE from 92.
No problem at all.
Adjusting can be done at engine level by inserting a clip into a pipe where the cable goes trhough.
This allows the tension to be right. I have tide it up to the max, so no lack
on the pedal to be sure you reach full opening.
