Unfourtuntely, my car was only finished a week ago, and i'm still running it in any way.
However, have you any plans for your next trackday? I think I could get at least myself + 2 more from clovertech to come along. _________________ Regards

Have the Bank Holiday Monday as the next one - same details as above.
If you get the forms and payment in this week, I am fairly sure you will get a place, but interest is high on this one. _________________ (00=\°/=00) (00=\°/=00)

Hi Matt
You will need a helmet - beg or borrow one for the day, but you can get some bargains on new ones on Ebay.
To come along - just print out the declaration and booking forms in the first post of my thread, send in to the address on the booking form with the payment.
There is a lot of info on my track days site - http://trackdays.dreamracers.net There is a lot of info in the brochure there too. Any questions, please feel free to give me a call - 07905099676

I have sent you my declaration, cheque and booking form last night, and I have also got two mates to come along as well, with there cars!!!
Not only will you have the pleasure of my P4 'GTA', but also Lloyd at clovertech's 164 V6 24V, as well as Mr G's 145 V6 24V.
I have sourced a nice, inexpensive helmet from grand prix race wear, a Sparco Club racer one, which is up to standard, type A, or whatever, for £55. Cheap, but has all the right stickers on it to say it meets BS type stuff...
On the logistics front, is there a fuel pump on site? Any danger of some 100 RON? Failing that is there a shell garage with some optimax locally, as my engine needs 98 ron minimum to help get over the stupid CR ratio. Mr G's 145 has to have at least 98 ron...
Also, as we are coming a long way (London) do you have the numbers from some B&B type thing close by. I think we are planning to come down saturday evening (we all work saturdays) and crashing somewhere local to the track. Quick munch on Sunday morning and over to the track early.... _________________ Regards

Fantastic Matt, look forward to seeing you all there.
If you look to stay anwhere along the A303, you cant go wrong, and as you will be in Somerset, there are loads of B&Bs, esp farm ones, I'll see what I can find out for you close to the track.
There is a Shell garage about 1 mile from the test track and has optimax.
Once I get your forms, I'll give you a call and confirm any details with you and answer any questions you may have.
I will have to be using my XR2 not the new Sud project as it requires far too much work to be track worthy. Will be worth the wait though. _________________ (00=\°/=00) (00=\°/=00)

Hopefully, you should get it Monday, brown A4 envelope with all the three declarations, booking forms and cheques.
Optimax will have to do, better than most other fuels about.
If you could find out a sensible B&B, it would be appreciated.
Many Thanks

If you want to watch, no problem! As you come into the museum car park turn right and head towards the track, if you turn left just be the fence by the track and take the track to the back of the museum, you'll find us there. There maybe some cones, just go round them. My name is Mark if you want to ask for me by name. _________________ (00=\°/=00) (00=\°/=00)

I have now booked a hotel, which is actually in Bower Hinton/Martock, as it was the closest to the track with availability!!!!
Any way, I trust that you will have received the paperwork. It appears that Mr G and the 145 V6, has bottled it, so only me and Lloyd (Devon) will be coming from London. Ho Hum....
Any way, I am now the proud owner of a very nice Sparco Pro Jet Helmet. I have also nowe sorted my 4x4, and replaced the dodgy support bushes on the prop, so no nasty vibrations when pulling away, or going slow around corners!!! I doubt it will help make me any faster, but I will feel better.
However, in an evil, twisted, 4x4 owner mentality, I quite fancy it to rain for Sunday. I quite like the idea of trying the P4 in the wet, could be lots of fun!!!!
Any way, thanks for your help, will see you Sunday!! _________________ Regards

Driver briefing at 9.45am, track opens at 10am, break for lunch at 1pm for an hour and then track open from 2pm to 5pm.
Come see the marshall on the gate if you need to get access to the viewing bank.
I hope to have some vids and pictures to post come Monday! _________________ (00=\°/=00) (00=\°/=00)

Cheers for a good laugh.
I left early as second gear went completely, no drive, and jumped out of the slot. Managed to make it back last night without it OK.
Still, a lot of fun, and I'm sure I will be back, with a much stronger box, and probably some Yoko A02s, service/recovery truck, etc.... _________________ Regards

We had the TVR Owners Club camped opposite us at Le Mans this year. I dont think they appreciated our joke that they couldnt be the "official" club as they didnt have any tow trucks with them |
