Anyone got any ideas?
When cornered fairly hard (like going around a roundabout) I get this rubbing noise from somewhere and not sure where it might be.
Sounds to me like tyre rubbing under arch.
Only does it turning right.
Had a quick goosey underneath but didnt see anything broken.

Hi Ian
I've had the same when cornering hard particularly if there is a bump. Pretty sure it is the front mudflaps . I suspect my front shocks are getting tired although they feel reasonable when I bounce them static.

Snap! I have an intermittant dry grinding noise on cornering. I thought perhaps one of the brake pads was rubbing on the disk, I couldn't see anything wrong either |

First try to see if there are no rubbing traces on tires or wheelarches. I had a similar problem too and seemed it was the exhaust tip rattling againts my rear bumper when cornering hard. Took me a long time to discover that, but prob was solved with new rubbers. Maybe something to look at too...
Regards!

Hi,
Inspect your chassis rails for cracks. Hard to say what it is without listening to the noise.
If you think it is your tyres rubbing, use a bit of chalk on them and when it makes the noise stop and inspect to see if the chalk is still there, oh no point putting it on the tread _________________ Scott Sander

Thanks for the advice guys...as soon as the weather improves I will get under and have a good look round.
I was wondering if it could be caused by lateral movement due to worn bushes on the back axle? _________________ Presntly own

Hi
HAd a similar problem after swapping some wheels over. It was the inside edge of the rear n/s tyre rubbing on the petrol filler pipe.
All the best
