Shocked
Just failed the MOT retest on HC emissions!!! 1800 instead of 1200 max.
First time it was 2300 !
Had a mobile krypton tune guy round and he got things a lot better, said there's no problems with ignition or the cylinder pressure, and that it was the carbs. Said there is a problem with cylinder 4 and that he had to lean it right down to get the HC reading as low as it is (it was much lower than 1200 when he tuned it and I've not used the car inbetween then and the retest). Surely that means it is getting fuel but not igniting ?? Could it be as simple as the dizzy cap - not in great nick.
Can I rely on a mobile tuner's or the MOT station's bit of kit ?
Any ideas / opinions welcome.
Great site - glad to see it going from strength to strength after so long.
Cheers,
Paul J. Smile
