Hi Guys and Girls (???)
Cant remember???
can you slap 1.5 shim type heads (1.5) onto a 1.7 block???
rebulding my old engine (1.5) considering upgrading the cc.
Also.. how available are the parts to make a 1.6 l or upwards of a 1.7L

Rich... p.s. are Federal Mogul Gaskets good?? _________________ Too Many!! 33 QV 1.5 1986 (day driver, Sud 1.5 82 (toy) and Sud Ti Qv 84 (on hold), 1988 1.7 carbie too (wobly). |

(haven't got a 1.7 block yet)

I can't comment on how good the Federal Mogul gaskets are, but as they are the company behind Champion spark plugs, I doubt that they are rubbish.

As far as I know you fit the solid lifter cam boxes to the 1700 cc heads( bigger inlets etc) and the shorter solid lifter belts.
