|
|
Hi all,
I want to replace the door speakers in my 33 16V.
Does anyone know of any speakers that fit without making any modifications?
They seem to be about 14cm by 8cm! Which is a very unusual size!
Ideally I would like to fit out all four doors to compliment the speakers I've fitted into the parcel shelf!
Any ideas?? |

The best onmes I have seen were on a recently advertised P4
The speakers were in one of those shapred audio tubes
and placed infront of the door handles on the front.
This involves no hacking into the metal of the doors
and so does not deteriorate body stiffness
Of course you are left with holes in the door panels
where the original speakers were!
Second option, which I took when upgrading the sportwagon
to cloverleaf interior (the door panels had small speaker holes)
is to get some speaker mounts that fit your speakers and which
cover the original holes. Again it means no hacking into
door metal to fit quality speakers.
Down side is speakers are pushed out.
Up side, you get better speaker response if you choose carefully
