Just got into accident. Rear axle damaged. Some mechanic mentioned sud rear arm can fit with some modification to the arms. So I can have rear discs. Any advise guys?? Experience?? Thanks. _________________ Each time I speed I say, "Dear lord, make me fast and accurate..." |

if it's a series 1 33, yes, theoretically it will fit - but if you do, what will you use for a handbrake? The Watts links are the same and can be swapped without a problem, but the exle will leave you with disc brakes with no handbrake mechanism

Convert the handbrake to hydraulic a la rally cars? Incidentally can the 33 axle be converted to Sud discs? Aside from the above handbrake issue.

In theory it could be, but it would be hassle - it is not just bolt on

				| You could put the rear drum stub axles from the 33 onto the sud axle beam |

				| you would need to adapt them with a plate, I looked at this when doing the 16v conversion of my sprint |

Thanks a lot guys. I have strict regulations here and car is inspected every year. So I guess i have to drop the idea because of no hand brake.

So can I conclude that the sud rear axle be easily fitted onto a series 3 not needing hand brakes? Any trail arm modification? |
