Hi all ,now that the s2 1.5ti feels like a new car-recently replaced floats in dellortos i now feel like replacing those horrible uncomfortable seats.
Any suggestions / accounts of personal experience much appreciated.
ie do the sexy seats from later models fit ok etc
regards pete

Hi Pete, if youve got the basic seats as in the SLs, then the sportier sears from a QV or Cloverleaf are a bolt out/bolt in operation and is a definite improvement. Finding some in good condition can be dificult as the fabric seams to wear a bit and the outside seat bolster on the drivers seat tends to collapse a bit over time. Swapping them side for side helps and the back adjuster is, in my opinion, easer to access on the outside. They bolt to the floorpan with capscrews through alloy spacers usually long at the front and short at the rear although this can be played with to suit individual preference.
I've just fitted recaro type seats with quite a bit better location to our S2 but this required welding some adaptor plates to take the Alfa rails. Well worth the effort though. Having the better location has the subjective effect of making the steering sharper.
Regards Eddie

Subaru Impretza recaro's are absolutely fantastic (well a 1994 260bhp top spec ones were.) really deep sides and exeptionally comfortable. They would require welding though.
