can someone tell me the size for the key of the oil tank...preferebly in mm please=))) stupid question, i know, but i dont have any tools at home and id dont feel like buying 50 different 6 sided keys just to realize that only one fits...thnx |

Hi,
The bolt for emptying the oil sump is an allen type. If i'm not mistaken the key is a 12 mm one.
Be careful to hold in place the allen key with your hand because these bolts fail very easily and then you 'll surely need big pliers that the plumbers use in order to undo it.

I couldn't find allen keys for sale larger than 10mm, so I bought a star-shaped (Torx?) T-60 adapter for my socket set and that works ok. I think the allen key would be preferable because it would probably be a tighter fit. |

Yup its a 12mm allen key... Ben if you need one, I got one from Paykel's engineering supplies, should be one in your area, they're a nationwide company AFAIK.
Cost less than 10 bucks as well _________________ Just because it's old... doesn't mean it can't go fast! |
