Well, I don't think the "losers stand small" can apply to Portugal!  We fought a hard game... in the end one had to win... Greece Won Congratulations!
But Portugal lost with dignity... And the Portuguese were very proud of their team Like Greece they also deserved to win

Hi,
Well actually that how the lyrics of the song go ... I did not want to insult anybody 
Actually during the game all country was stuck in front of the TV sets - the passion and anxiety reached the rev limiter 
For 90 minutes the medical operations centre did not receive ANY phone calls; no one had health problems during that period

First among equals ,that was the result of the final.You played very strong and very clean,but one team had to come out as the winner.I think Portugal was nervus becoase played in frond of her fans.I must say you have great fans ,the moment they clap their hands after the game ended it was the greatest moment of the tournament.Hope to see you in Germany in 2006 ,i hope we will be there. |

I think what really turned out to be wonderful was the fair play between fans it was fantastic Everybody singing, dancing having the time of their lives That's how football should always be... everybody enjoying themselves and respecting everybody else
BTW: What's the translation of that fantastic sounding Greek "tune"/"song" that the Greek fans were always singing...??? it kind of climbed in to my ear

Don't worry I wasn't insulted or anything I was just making a point
The portuguese also stopped... everything stopped... when it comes to football, people here tend to take it very seriously... As it was for Greece, for Portugal it was also the first time we were at an international final So I hopes were very high... maybe too high... I think that also influenced the concentration of our players... they had too much weight over their sholders... It was simply unbelievable... What a fantastic tournament, said to be the best one ever That makes me proud to be Portuguese What even made me more is that we knew how to loose and had fun alongside the Greek fans
But in the end... I think it is just a matter of luck Every single on of the teams that played the tournament were fantastic Anyone of them could have taken the Cup home That is Football... that is sport Congratulations to Greece, once again
