Hi all,

I know there was a recent thread about this, but I am having trouble. I have a 1987 33 and I have tried to remove the factory stereo by removing the vents above it, but could find no little levers to push down on as described, the hole seems smooth alround, and the it is too small to put your hand down - any ideas? Also, what size speakers fit in the front speaker housings? Is it 3 inch speakers only or what? Many thanks!

3 inch speakers are the ones to get.

I seemed to be able to get mine out with little trouble. However, sometimes people who want good sound from their speakers will insert a cylindrical tube into the shaft to get better resonance - maybe this is what you are encountering?
