Still working on my ratling problem and was trying to locate the advance update feature to check for broken hose or electrical problem.
How intial advance is modified between idle and runing state? Is the rotor equiped with an Hall effect sytem ? Did not see any electrical connector.
TIA

Hi
For the 16V all the timing is controlled by the ECU, with crankshaft position determined using a sensor on the flywheel (fitted down on the side behind the cylinder head on the drivers side of a lhd car)
All the best
