Hello guys!

This is my first post but I have been reading the posts on this forum for a long time.

My question is probably a bit stupid...

Is there any way to replace broken rivets on the door panels??

I have some spare rivets on panels from another 33, but even if I find a way to remove them from the old panels, I can't figure out how to put them on mine!

Is there anyway to do this or should I start searching for other panels?
I hate it when they rattle on rough roads Twisted Evil

Thanks very much!

Hi,

The simple way to replace them is to buy new ones.

Since they are plastic , they age through the years and break very easily.

You will notice that the door panel has a small hole - the rivet is almost round with a small piece of cut. You first insert the cut side to the panels hole and then you rotate the rivet till you feel that it is steady.

Then you are ready to push it to the door and keep it in place.

These rivets are cheap - you can find them easily in AR spare parts.

By the way, do you live in Greece?

Regards,

Geia file Smile

Yup, I live in Crete.

Glad to see a fellow Greek alfisti on the forum!

I found some similar rivets in a store here.
They look almost identical except from the fact that these are a little bit shorter.

I think they'll do though.

Thanks again for your help Smile
