Hi,
I'm planing to replace my brake disks which are grooved ATE powerdisk. Nowdays they are not any more grooved and I think to try disks that are grooved and drilled.
Found a set of grooved & drilled, brand name "CAR" at price of 110€ and
another brand called "Sequinto" if i'm not mistaken, which are only drilled at 120€.
Do you guys know these brands and also if anyone has tried the OMP disks would be greatful.
Thanks. _________________ Thanassis Gritsopoulos

I have OMP grooved/holed/vented on my 16v P4 vented, and their grooves vanished after two sets of original ATE pads (probably were to hard on discs), so in case you want to use them, make sure to use OMP pads which are somwhat softer and need a little warming compared to ATE. _________________ Tino Vatavuk

Hi,
I 'll probably install the standard ATE disks (no groove or drills) and try the Mintex pads to see if they make a difference.
Thanks. _________________ Thanassis Gritsopoulos

Gritsop in front i have the disks and callipers from the 16V. They are BREMBOs and the pads are ALFA ROMEO original.I think that the disks that are grooved and drilled make noise until they come to the right temp. |
