On how much kg or Nm I need to tighten the cam bearnins, heads and the flywheel?

The engine is 1.7 16V.

Thanks! |

				Hi

According to my manual, these are the torque settings for the 16v:

Tensioners: 37-46 Nm (3,7 - 4,6 kgf.m)

Camshaft pulley wheels: 64-71 Nm (6,4 - 7,1 kgf.m)

Flywheel: 96-107 Nm

Cam Bearings: 20-25 Nm

Head bolts: Not really sure what the book means! See below:

Engine (out of car)

fase 1....30 Nm

fase 2....60Nm

fase 3.....93-97Nm

Engine (installed, and using a 300mm torque wrench)

fase 1....20 Nm

fase 2....40 Nm

fase 3....65-67 Nm

Engine installed, and using a 400mm torque wrench)

fase 1....25 Nm

fase 2..... 50 Nm

fase 3.....70-73 Nm

Hope this helps!

The engine is out o the car so I guess I'll go for the 97Nm. |

				Hi,

Regarding the head bolts:

- 300mm or 400mm is the lenght of the arm of the torque wrench

- make sure you tight the bolts in the correct order:

looking at the head you start with top centre bolt, then bottom centre, top left, bottom right, top right and bottom left.

Good luck,
