ugh!

sorry about this, i'll PM you next time.
by the way, thanks for removing offending post.

besides, 16V diag module will be operational soon! (as soon as I can test it, since my 'test' 16V is currently stranded - faulty FPR has flooded engine and no time to replace spark plugs)

regards,
zp

Not a problem at all.
I'm reading forum on working days so spamers have weekend to do their worst.

FPR- Fuel Pump Relay? Could you explan a little bit more how it could've caused flooding?

Regards,

Tino/Zp,

I don't understand that either! How do you flood an injected car? Extra fuel is returned to the tank on the fuel rail!? And injectors only inject relative to the volume/mass of air?

Bob

Yes, but injectors don't know if previous amount of fuel has burned or not, so they inject aditional amount and again... or in case of faulty injector then it stays open and just floods fuel in cylinder.

Hi,

sorry for using shortcuts.
FPR is fuel pressure regulator.
mine had a hole in the diaphragm, and car was stranded due to zero pressure in the rail...but excess fuel was returned both to the tank, and to the intake manifold via the pressure hose plugged in the FPR
as a result, engine was probably drinking 1 liter of petrol per cranking attempt...must have killed spark plugs since there has been no more firing since.

regards,
zp
