help!!Im looking for oversized pistons for a 1990 33. It's a 1.7 Cloverleaf QV engine and it doesn't matter what size once they are oversized...I will also resort to a reconditioned engine for same...would be so grateful for any info..with thanks ..mrs k.

better and cheaper to find 1.5 block and bore it to 1.7 specs. This way you can use your old pistons.

if you really want bigger pistons on your 1.7 then track down a JE dealer. they make pistons to suit most things and i'm sure their range will have something you can use.

JE make forged pistons as well as lots of other interesting engine bits.

p.s. hope this isnt too late for you.

Why? there is less "meat" in the 1500 block......better to get a stock 1.7 block I say....

Thanks for that I eventually did get pistons...went with keeping the 1.7 block....now the grief begins!!! My mechanic has to put back an engine he didn't strip!!! ( the guy that stripped it chickened out!!) So I must get my hands on a detailed diagram of the block for him....AHHHHH the joys of it eh!!!
