Hi...
Depends on the colour of the exhaust fumes...
If they are blueish your engine is burning oil. This is not good, because you are looking at failure at the rings. This involves a engine rebuild, and lots of €€€€€.
If the smoke is thick black, your engine is running rich mixture...And spending lots of fuel...
This can lead to piston failure, if not atended quickly.
The usual parts that can go wrong and cause this running rich problem are the lambda probe (if the model is a catalyst car), the Air flow meter and the Temperature sensor...
