Today when messing around in the engine compartment I discovered that I have one Weber and one Dellorto carb. I was very surprised, especially because I haven't discovered it before, having owned the car for over a year now. What do you guys have to say to this? How bad is it? The car runs well, so I guess it's not that big a deal?

Hi

Probably not seriously bad, but I wouldnt expect it to be that healthy. The carbs are very similar, but I suspect the effects of the jetting is slightly different.

Personally I would try and get a pair of matched carbs to fit

All the best

Keith

Well, since the MOT runs out in about 6 months, I think I'll just leave them the way they are. Or perhaps switch one of them at a wrecker. Which one should I go for, Weber or Dellorto?

Hi

Personally I would say go for the Dellortos, but only because the only weber equiped 33's I have had are late 1.3s and they tend to be horribly set up compared to the Dellorto equiped 33's I have had

All the best

Keith
