swap the [/img] and [img] tags round before and after each pictures address and it'll work chap.

Good work tho! Love the sepia effect, works well

Nice looking car by the way but i've got to ask, how did you get that finish on the manifold???
Anyone out there got some S2 door handles for sale?? they look so much smoother than the icebergs stuck on my S3

Hi people

Thanks for the good feed back on the car, and help on uploading the photo's, not that good with pc's, more of a car man!

the manifold i polished starting with a soft disk on my grinder.but all you need to use is sand paper, and go through the grits.the finer you go the easyer it will be to polish. if youve got a dremal polisher then you can get into the hard to reach areas. thats about it just takes time.

the door handles i mite be able to get hold of a set if your interested,as i know a small alfa garage who have some 33 spares, i can give them a call lee if you want, cheers for showing the pictures.as you can see now have uploaded them now thanks dreamracer!

all the best john

Indeed a fine looking example, congratulations!
Is there actually any noticable benefit in installing a strut brace though, considering the bulkhead that Alfa thoughtfully provided?
The door handles do look much better than the S3 jobs though, has anyone tried converting an S3 to S2 handles? Is it just plug & play?

Cheers John, that would be appreciated. If they have a set let me know costs plus postage and we'll go from there!
Labour of love on the manifold then!! doesn't it start to oxidise quickly?

Maybe if we all get together and start complaining to alfa that we keep trapping our fingers in the handles Rolling Eyes then they might get recalled and the job done for nothing..... Laughing

Hi Guy's

if you saw it today luke you would'nt think i love my car, as its covered in bird crap and mud Evil or Very Mad

as for the manifold thats the same, yes it does fade. but if you gave it a wipe over when you clean the car, then you would keep on top of it!

the door handles should be easy to fit as ive seen series 3's with them on.they do look better!

the strut brace will help if fitted rite, ive been told that you must jack the front up first then bolt up the brace.that way it will stiffen the front end up.when you drop it back down. this is on my to do list Wink

i hope all this helps, off to work now Crying or Very sad
all the best john

i think the s3 handles are much nicer to use. i've had 3 series 3's and never trapped my fingers in them once. my old s2 handles were harder to use but the aerodynamacist in me does like the flush fitting ones.

maybe i could find a way of putting much more aerodynamic handles on that were still easy to use. hmm, i'll think about it when i make my doors.

Hi LDA,
I was only joking about trapping your fingers.....i'll get my coat!!
I believe you when you say they're easier to use but styling wise the S2 handles win hands down.
By the way, if you come up with a design thats aerodynamic and easy to use you'll be minted as i reckon all us S3 owners would change the mountainous plastic disasters

doh.. didnt realise ya were joking.. i've trapped my fingers in the ford focus handles before now and they are a similar idea.

right i'll have to get autocad out and have a play.. see what i can come up with. shouldnt be too hard and will save weight and reduce drag Very Happy
