mine is a non cat 1.7 injection, have had to recondition the tank as it was pretty knackered, meanwhile having looked over the fuel system I cant find a fuel filter! Can anyone tell me where it would normally be?
Cheers,

Hi,
The fuel filter is located in the LHD of the vehicle under the steering rack covered by a black plastic cap. You can also trace it if you follow the fuel line from the intake manifold/fuel rail towards the rear of the car. This fuel line is a black nylon pipe.
Hope this helps

Hi
On 16v cars, the filter is also behind the front left wheel arch (behind the plastic mudguard), and covered by a plastic cover.
Its a bit hidden, but after removing the left wheel, its an easy job.
Good luck
