Have you got power going to the coil? Had exactly the same problem (admittedly with a carburetted 8V) and found it was simply an unhappy wire. _________________ Owner's Club 33 Registrar. Now from P4 & S2 1.7 QV

And make sure rotor arm is okay as you would have exactly the same problem if this hads failed. Also not hard to change ECU if this were the problem. It can only be one of a few problems. _________________ Owner's Club 33 Registrar. Now from P4 & S2 1.7 QV

Hi Paul
checked the rotor arm and cap seem ok, they are about a month old, changed the ecu, which i know works and still nothing.all the relays working as i took the tops off and they where clicking when the engine turns over.still think it mite be coil or crank senser.will look on my cd manual to see how it unbolts from crank.
