Hi.
thanks for replying .

i think you're mistaken .
i know that the difference between 1500 , 1700 , 1700 16v is that
in 1500cc it's 80X67.2 different conrods,pistons .
1700 cc it's 87X72 same conrods
1700 16v 87X72 with different pistons with eyes for the valves .

i check in the manual and it seems that the crank is the same in 1700cc , 1500cc and 1700cc 16v . but i'm not completly sure .

did anyone ever used 1700,1500 crank in 1.7 16v engine ?

Hi ePER catalogue gives same number for
1.7 and 17 16v engines for complete crankshaft with bearings.
But half bearings and other parts have different numbers for :up to 1.7, 1.7 8v and 1.7 16v engines.
I'm not sure that 1.5 crank could cope with 16v power even if you could mount it in engine.

I could be wrong on this but I think that the later crankshaft (from a 145/146) is a higher spec than the earlier ones. They are nitrided and may also have a rolled radius on the edges of the journals, both features greatly increase the fatigue strength of the crank. I am hoping to get a look at a 146 crank soon so I will let you know.
