Holy 33s, we're onto 4 bleedin pages! Anyway Keith & Sharon Barker in their GT from the Kent and East Sussex section will also be staying at the same hotel, though their section tends to be more sedentary than ours (Sussex Coast). _________________ Owner's Club 33 Registrar. Now from P4 & S2 1.7 QV

Just received this after Dave forwarded our comments (although I would add that we have had model parking at Spring Alfa Day for the past three years, which Helen, being new to the job, had obviously not been told. ):-
Firstly we did not offer model parking at Spring Alfa Day and this is usual, we will only offer model parking at National Alfa Day purely because of the logistics of dealing with it. On the whole Model parking only works if the tickets are pre-booked thus allowing areas of the correct size to be allocated to each register we were unable to do this for SPAD due to the time constraints and various key staff being unavailable. If anyone asked me I simply explained this to them but advised that if people arrived in convoy we would do our best to park them together.
The venue was quite tight on space within the display area and it quickly filled up, if you saw any non-Alfas within this area they belonged to the staff on the trade stands (the pig roast people had 3 cars) or they were volunteers who were using their 'second' car.
The intention all along was to use the perimeter track grassed area for parking and indeed to stretch the cars all the way up to the top of the entrance which is effectively what we achieved.
National Alfa Day on the 18th of June will offer model parking, however you must pre-book and the details will be in the next Club Magazine or alternatively apply to Mrs Margaret Sismey at Old Beck House Aslackby Road, Kirkby Underwood Bourne, Lincsafter the 23rd of May, price will be £5.50 per person and attached is a booking form.
We always try to please a cross section of people in the club and take into account the ideas and comments of the members as you can imagine with 4000 members this is not always possible, the format of the shows will change according to the venue etc. model parking will not always be available.
I thank you for your criticism it is always good when people actually go out of their way to add these comments as it is vital to receive feed back on how we are all doing.
I hope to see you at National Alfa Day.
Kind regards
Helen Powell

Hi Chaps,
After long deliberation (and knowing my wife was going to have our baby a couple of days before the event) - I decided it was in my best interest(!) not to attend.
However, that was before I realised it was June and NOT July - so looks like I'll be there!!!! You going Keith - you're only up the road ain't ya!?

Hi
I live just outside Stafford. Should be there (not planned anything that far in advance yet). Not sure which car. 155 is convenient as the boot is big!
Need to pick up a few bits. Clutch slave cylinder and a rear wheel cylinder for the lhd 1.3.
All the best

Dave and I will be there with a proper stall and there will definitely be register parking as we've already been asked about it. _________________ Owner's Club 33 Registrar. Now from P4 & S2 1.7 QV
