my brothers old boss that owns a company called m d autos in surrey built a fiat 500 abd put a fiat uno turbo engine in the back .
it was really fast in a straight line but when it got up to speed was a bit unstable but fun and rear wheel drive. |

They're a funny little car the Fiat 500, haven't seen one in ages.
What's with the Reliant Kitten 850 engine? Are they much chop? I haven't seen any reference to them in any magazines that I buy.
'Sort of' looks like an old Hillman 1500 motor or something, why did he use that, are they all alloy or very light? Maybe a Hillman Imp GT motor would be better or put in a modified 126 lump instead.
I saw an article once with an extensively modified 500 with bored/stroked motor made from around ten different Fiat twin cylinder models, around a thousand cc's and big (relatively speaking) horsepower. Pretty amazing stuff. 'tis nice in a funny sort of way too _________________ 1977 Alfasud ti 1.7
