I've just changed the petrol tank on my girlfriend's car and there is a green pipe coming from alongside the filler pipe with some kind of valve along it, but I've no idea what it's for and where it's supposed to go. Can anyone enlighten me. This is not the other green pipe which comes off of the tank.

Usualy there is pipe with oneway valve somewhere in rear boot Smile Valve wont let fuel fumes under pressure out of pipe/tank, but if tank is underpressured for any reason it will let fresh air into tank/fuel system.
But usualy that pipe is comming around fuel fumes catchcan on the left inner side of boot.

Injected or carbed?

This one is carbed and what Tino says must be correct, cheers. It's just odd that there doesn't seem to be any special place for the pipe to go, but then if it's only letting fresh air in I suppose it doesn't have to go anywhere special as long as it doesn't tangle with anything.
