My 16v is being cussid. Will run off a jug of fuel, garage gets her going then she runs for about 15 miles before seaming to run out of petrol - sort of misfires and max revs drop over short distance till no revs at all - when running car she is not happy beneath 3000 revs and has very small exhaust blow. When working engine is very strong and pulls nicely.

have checked, lambda probe, air sensor, fuel pump and relays, tank, wd40d all electrics, she has new plugs and distributor

any one had similar probs or get any ideas, maybe one of the above is playing up intermittently?

Hi...

If the engine, looses power, it seems like a fuel failure... Check all the fuel path.. Fuel pump, fuel filter, fuel damper, fuel pressure regulator & injectors...

On my car the fuel pump, started to play, and with a low tank of fuel (but still plenty to make a few more Km), and on donwhills, the car started to act as if it didnt have fuel left...
I switched the fuel pump for a new one and my problem was solved..
