Anyone know how to remove the studs on the split rim type Speedline alloys (from late 16v and Q4) without breaking them? My wheels need a refurb and I don't wanna break too many as they're abou £3 each and there are 96 of them!!!
Thanks

I doubt you'll remove them successfully as they're plastic and (as i found out on my old speedlines) they are very tight in the holes and they break really easily. You've probably already found this out though
I tried twisting.......break pulling...................break
Maybe some heat applied to the back of the rim may 'soften' the plastic enough to release them. I'd go easy though as you don't want to melt them..........or cause any damage to the alloy! |
