Hi,
I agree with Bob since this is a nice opportunity for tourism and sightseeing except the event.
Since I will be coming to SPA from Venice via Milano and Basel, we can arrange to be on SPA Thursday or Friday to do some tourism, attend the event Saturday and Sunday and why not taking the chance to continue tourism on Monday.
Agree guys?? |
Yes - but anyone who needs to do less days for holiday reasons or whatever - I will work out some pro-rata thing. Although - I doubt anyone will want to do less time!
Me and John did A LOT of tourism last time.... mostly negotiating the Café de la Stella Artois et Jupiler!

The Thursday to Monday sound's good to me. As I've never been before It would be ashame to turn up and then leg it like you said you did last year.
Bob. Surely £240 is a bit on the low side I'd have thought you and John got through that in beer money alone
John. It'll be good to see you again. SAD '06 seems along time ago! |

Have you got the dates yet? I have to book leave from work 8 months in advance and summer gets booked up very quickly
Can't envisage having a serviceable 33 by then, so I'll have to wipe the floor with you all in my 145 I'm afraid!!!
Anyone heard of squadra33? Its the Dutch 33 site - might be worth asking them if they fancy meeting up? www.squadra33.com
bye for now |

Some of them come on here sometimes (less these days, more commonly before Squadra33 became established).
All the best

John will back me up that it wasn't greatly expensive.... I was thinking mostly of the float covering the communal things, like the ferry and the villa - and the beer/BBQ for the villa. I can alter that figure up or down as you like! Depends how many Euros you want when you're there!
Perhaps we all just put in whatever we want!
37 weeks actually!

Bob, your surname isn't Maxwell is it?
Only kidding, sounds like a great plan for a great excursion, only wish i could get involved. No amount of arm twisting, i'm afraid, i can't afford to get divorced.

£500... In fairness though John, we did go to Restaurants every night!
AND we had the most expensive steaks in Belgium SEVERAL times!
If we had the villa - we'd probably do something a little cheaper... although... we still gotta go out to the Stella Stereotypical pub again!!!!
Maybe we'll challenge the Germans at a game of footie!

Lee,
You're probably right! But then thinking about concours cars - people are quite likely to drive them down the road to the event - but not a long way as they don't want to get them dirty??? Therefore, the winners will mostly be local? It's a thought anyhow!
John - where's the photo of Chez Artois?

Just to let y'all know... noone has gone with the float idea.... so how are we going to play this?
All book our own ferries? Or shall I book it up for everyone (once the times/dates are agreed) and then TRY to reclaim the money from you tightwads?
As for Villas... what about this badboy? :
(Queue Adams' Family Music!)

Bob,
If you are happy to book the ferry then that'll be great and i'll send you the money upfront. (No tightwads down yer!!)
The villa (haunted mansion) looks cool to me. I can just see the heavy rain/ thunderstorm in the middle of the night now!! |
