It now takes me 1 hour to do a five mile journey. 5 mins to travel the distance and 55 mins to get the chuffing seatbelt on Evil or Very Mad
Pull it 2cm.....click.....release pressure...pull 3cm......click Rolling Eyes
Starting to do my head in now and it's giving me severe road rage even before i've left my driveway.
So has anyone had this problem before? just thought i'd ask before i do a little exploritory surgery on mine.
Cheers.

Hi,

Could be the cold weather upsetting the inertia reel mechanism.

Simple remedy until replacement belt assy found would be to put a large bulldog clip on to keep the belt pulled out, so it's kinda like an oldschool pre-inertia stylie.

I wouldn't attempt to service the reel. I opened one up years ago on a Pug205 that was playing up. Piles of slinky-sping stuff came out, and of course i'd just f*c*d it up!

John

Make sure the reel is vertical and hasn't moved any. Very easy to replace anyway.
