Hi Peeps,
Thinking about the finish to give my engine bay... maybe enamel? Acrylic aerosol?
Any opinions?
Also - where do I get Rosso130 spray?

Hi,
If you can hire a compressor and gun, you'll get a much better fininsh than with spray cans which usually just dont have enough volume of spray fan for anything more than say painting the back of a mirror.
Best place i've found recently for paint is Jawel 0121 558 6191. Think they trade on ebay to. They do mail order, lowish prices and can mix up paint by the pot or make up spray cans. They might still do cellulose, else single pack acrylic for home use.
Big branches of Halfrauds mix pots and aerosols too, qood quality and match, but pricey.
Hope that helps

Hi chap
if your going to use can's. put them in hotish water.this will build up pressure in the can,and they will spray better.but keep an eye on them or they mite go bang. i have done this loads of times

It also helps thin the paint a bit. _________________ Shift for Brains |

If you can still get it cellulose would be my weapon of choice. Like John said, cans are only good for small jobs so if you could source a spray gun you'll get a much better finish. |
