I can't find it in the archives though I know I've seen a link to a page describing the different options with the fuel setting 'relay'.
I don't have one of these but I do have a four pin connector block in the right place (between the battery and the wing). Wires to this are as follows:
Two wires: Red & Pink
One wire: Blue with a red tracer
One wire: black
Two wires: Blue with a green tracer & blue with a white tracer.
Could somebody confirm I'm looking at the right thing?

OK so with nothing fitted I assume that:
I should be using Super Unleaded
&
My car doesn't have a lambda sensor or if there is one fitted it's being ignored.
Is my understaning correct? _________________ '93 Black 33 1.7 16v |

Thanks.
Assuming the car has a lambda sensor fitted (I'll have a look over the w/e) and I were to make the 95 with a lamda link (either with a dongle or a home made bodge) what will the difference be (other than cheaper petrol of course.
Simplistically one should expect slightly less power but surely engine management with exhaust gas analysis is always going to deliver a better result?
I wonder why the 97 with a lamda option is not offered?
Thanks for your patenience with all my questions at the moment, especially as I suspect alot of it is in the archive. _________________ '93 Black 33 1.7 16v |

Hi,
I'm not sure where this connector is on my car. I have a yellow relay in a small cluster in the far left inner wing corner next to the t2 tyester connector plug under the small black plastic cowling- is this it?? yellow makes sense for 95 ron with cat/lambda.
Jeremy, IMHO if your car is meant to have a lambda and it was disconnected either physically unplugged or via missing relay the car would run really rich and most probably fail the emissions at MOT- not certain on this but it's my guess.

hi John,
Is that yellow relay connected to a redish colour block connector? If not and it is under the black plastic covering i think that is a relay for the fuel pump or something. I'll take a pick in a mo.
I have all three fuel selectors, light blue, red and yellow. I tried using the blue one, which will retard the timing a little in comparison to the red and yellow ones and it only made a small decrease in co. As long as the AFM has been correctly calibrated i dont think it will make that much difference. _________________ x2 33 16v
