When I removed my oil filler neck to do my clutch slave cylinder I noticed that it had the usual mayo in it. I cleaned all this out when I first got my car and was surprised to see it again in such a short period of time.
Is there any way to prevent this?
Can the moisture be let out by removing the oil filler cap after the car has been driven for a while, whilst the engine and oil is hot and the cap be put back before it cools and allows moisture to settle in.
I noticed the mayo in the oil breather pipe to the plenum chamber pipe, does it get anywhere else that I can clean?

I hate it when people say "buy a new car" Rolling Eyes what’s the point as I could end up doing exactly what I have done "maintenance wise" to my car, all over again, better the devil you know. Smile
Mayonnaise in the oil filler cap is normal, so I have heard on the boxers. I would like to minimise it if possible.
My car gets 2 45 mile journeys once a week, is that long enough to get rid of condensation?

You can drill a hole in the top of the cap and run a 22mm coolant/braided hose to an alloy catch tank (about £40) it has a small 2-3mm hole in the top so it keep oil pressure in the block. You have to empty the tank every 3-4 months of water but it stops the mayo dropping back into your motor. It should only take about an hour to fix Al.

I saw one where you remove the oil breather pipe and then connect one pipe to the oil filler neck and the other pipe to the inlet plenum, basically replacing the original pipe, they look very nice.
I didn't realise their purpose was to catch moisture as well
