Hey Pete,

Yeah a second hand strut would be the way to go if you don't want to spend to much. But not for $229! You can get a strut from the wrecker in Sydney for about $60AUS...
You should be able to get a new set of shocks on the front for $229 Smile ?

Hey,

Try Wreck-King in Paraparaumu. They're way closer to you and they've always got all sorts of Alfa bits and pieces. I've been able to get all sorts of Sud bits so 33 pieces shouldn't be a prob. Their number is 04 902 8639

Good luck,

Richard

Blimey, Paraparaumu, my brother used to live there!

What is wrong with the strut? If it is the bearing below the spring (Problem shows as a juddering of the steering as the spring slides on top/lower mount instead of rotating on the bearing) then a new one from Alfa UK is £15.00, and just take the spring off to replace it. POW! Nice smooth steering!

If it is the damping, well, just go to your nearest scrapyard as Alfa usually want too much for their replacement parts.

You could of course get a set of Konis for the front! (£204.00)
