This is my mates amazing s2, has a far from standard 16v engine, big brakes, recaro interior, bodywork is mint as is the Veloce kit. He stripped the front end to re paint the engine bay, paint the engine block & fit the throttle bodies. All the work has been done but he has not put it back together. (see pics). The engine has £600 cams, £400 AH Motorsport pulley, ported heads with upped compression ratio, baffled sump, all detailed, throttle bodies with trumpets, new oil pump, belts exhaust manifold. The engine is for sale for £1000.
The 2 pictures of the car in bits is how it now. Any takers?

I'll find out how much the car is going for, only prob is he has put the engine on ebay & when it sells he has spread the word that he will strip the car, lots of bits are already spoken for. The rolling shell would be a good buy for someone wanting to build up a mint S2. 
To my knowledge John the engine is sorted, was fully running, all he has done is take off the standard throttle bodies to replace with sexy ones.

i would be interested in the shell if it was good but all depends on the price as he is stripping parts off it.
alex just one question if the car was that good why break it or is it because he can get more money for the parts .
it would upset me building a good car then having to break it to get more money i dont think i could do it. |

I totally agree with you there Pat, its the difference between just being an owner or an enthusiasts , of course thats my opinion buts if it was (sadly) as good as the picture's then why "scrap" it for parts.............or does he have another project?.

He has been messed around by the bodyshop, a job that was meant to take 3 months has so far taken a year, he has lost the enthusiasam to finish the project. He did fully build the car and enjoyed it for years. His next project looks like it will be a Fisher Fury kit car.
If he sells the car complete he has to re build it, he not got the time. It prob is worth more in bits He is a big Alfa nut & he will make sure the shell does live on. He has done far too much work to it to let it die.

 Richards 33 will be done in about a weeks time, the amount of work that has been done on it is amazing. I'm looking forward to helping him put it back together, just hope i dont scratch it
