Would a series 2 car still run with the coil wired up the wrong way round?

Would I damage My coil doesn't show which is +ve and which is -ve. It may be the right way round already. Could I damage anything by swapping them over?

Yes but I believe the car runs better with it one way round than the other.

hi, do not install the coil with reverse polarity! this will damage you electrical system. Find another coil that has + and - markings on the terminals and the same primary resistance.

I'm wondering whether the coil has been wired up the wrong way round for a long time? I've got two white wires going into the bottom of the coil and two green/black wires going into the top. Anyone know which of these would be +ve and which -ve?
