I'm showing my age now, as apparently that's what it *used* to be called! Laughing

It's now called a European Health Insurance Card and in the event of needing European hospital care the NHS will pay for it rather than YOU (there are lots of exceptions to that and stuff, but that's the idea).

You can get one here : www.ehic.org.uk - I've been trying tonight (as I've just realised mine has expired) but the website is down. It should take 7 days to get one.

Try again tomorrow.

I ordered one as well, just for the hell of it, in case I dont need my stomach pumped or my skull repaired.
But if we all stick together and say it was the water, they might give us a new liver each

Whatever breakdown cover you go for Al make sure it includes repatriation otherwise if things go Kittens up you will find yourself being dumped at the port with no way of getting on the ferry.

TADAAA!! MY 500TH POST, GOLD CLOVERLEAF WOOHOO!

I will have my youngest daughter staying with me till the tuesday (halfterm or something) and the plan was to take her home on the tuesday evening, get a few hours kip and then leave early wednesday for Dover.
Although where she lives is sort of on the way (not in the opposite direction anyway) so it could be possible to drop her off and head off that evening.
I will see if I can sort it out.
