Whilst my car is running again it still has a low speed misfire so I'd like to borrow or buy an ECU to eliminate that as a source of the problem
It does need to be for a car with a catalyst.

They are tghe same for cat/ non cat bosch *142
Paul has/had one on ebay recently.

If your car is missing at certain revs, say about 1800- 2500rpm, it could be the lambda. Try disconnecting the battery for a minute reconnecting and seeing if it goes away temporarily, if it does i'd put money on the lambda

i have two one stardard and one with a remapped chip, the rev limit has been raised
