Greencloverleaf Pat, do you know who owns the black S2 33 in your pics? Is he/she from here or alfaowner? Nnamdi (AL33NUT)

It wasn't Johnboy's 33.

I think it was the one I spotted in Watford - see 'spotted' section.

It's wearing a cool 'boxer4c' badge so a 16v transplant is likely.

I'don't think those 4c badges were fitted to UK cars - don't suppose anyone's got 1? I might scour foreign ebays for one Wink

I think the 'boxer4C' was a semi-standard series 1 badge.

Ah, I thought it was 4 cam, but obviously 4 cylinder as in the forthcoming 4C elise-alike.

I saw the getleman leave the show and I can confirm its not Nnamdi nor Johnboy, I have not met the chap before and he was too far away for me to catch up to.
I think its a 1.5 ti or Amica as it has the dreaded alfa control unit in the dash.

i did have a engine a while ago that came out of a yellow 33 that was done by clovertech but i sold the engine and it was quite tuned wish i had saved it for this 33.
engine came out of this car which is sadly scrapped now due to rust

p,s i also had a black 1.5 ti veloce with that horrible alfa control unit Shocked

p.s paul is my old 33 still going about

Yeah, you made that car look real nice Cool and then swapped it back to Dave for a sprint. I did actually drive it to Crawley from Oxford before you had it and was about to buy it from Dave after you had swapped it back, when Dave told me that it had been stolen Exclamation Rolling Eyes
Funnily enough it is still on the DVLA records, though stated as tax running out in May 2008, Confused
but then so is the yellow car, stated as tax running out in July 2008.

So all that means is that neither car has been reported to the DVLA as having been scrapped.

So, though I may have it that 420 33s still exist on record in this country the actual figure of how many 33s exist may be somewhat lower Shocked

P.S. Dave's wife bent the rear windscreen wiper blade.

Yeah,

i use clovertech almost exclusively. The proprietor, Lloyd, is hugely knowledgable on 33s, and carries a fair few spares. he built the yellow 33 Pat bought, which was affectionatley known as Tweety. had mk1 dash and door trims, and apparently the 1.8 8v motor he put in it was a bit of a screamer!!

The black ti belongs to a chap called Ty, and it has a tuned 8v lump. he is currently working on a 16v unit to put in it tho...
