Hi guys,
Took apart the oil pump. It has some small pitting right on the tips of the teeth of the gears but they mesh well together in the middle.
do I need to worry about this edge damage or re-install it as it is?
it's very difficult to find oil pumps here.
Argentina supplier wanted 550 quid for one. Madness!!!

Well problem solved.
The pump is on the hands of a local machinist who specializes in gears for pumps.
making 2 new ones for the pump.
There was no other option.
Not cheap as they know there are no pumps for sale in S.America.
Have to wait a week to get it back.
Hope they do a good job. _________________ S2 33 1988 1.7 QV
