Hi, mates! I have 905 and 907 16v. I`m going to swap the engine with gearbox into 905, and i`d like to move to 905 everything from 907 that can be fitted. The main question for me is: does the rear axle, front windscreen fit 905?

Thanks in advance for answers!

PS: does 907 sunroof (goes up and back) fit into 905 body (sunroof goes only up)?

Hi feuerfuchs,
windscreen from 907 will not fit 905 (different shape and fitment)
rear axle from 907 will not fit 905 (stabilising arms fit and go in different places)
Sunroof will only fit with work and with a different roof lining.
Regards.

Hi,

The rear axle migt fit if you have one of the latest 905. We got one over there with both mounts for the rear axle ; also the bulkhead has the attachment points for the front reinforcment bars that were fitted on the 907.
Looks like Alfa introduced the body mods for 907 on the assembly line where the 905 was still getting manufactured. I wonder how long this lasted.

Fitting a 16V in a 905 body can be done. However, you have to swap the fuel tank for the return line, the front crossmember and swaybar, drill the front bulkhead for the motronic wiring harness, swap the entire exhaust system. Make sure you update the brakes for coping with that extra power.

regards,
zp

Sunroof (glass) from 907 will not fit 905. Shape of the roof on 907 is round and on 905 is flat...

However sunroof(metal) from 907 SportWagon will fit as roof panel was not modified from 905 to 907.

If you want rear disk and thats the reason to change axle then you dont have to replace the whole system just the rotors with the calipers plus the handbrake cable and little mode on the brake line. Been there , done that on my sprint....
