i feel like a 33 magnet at the mo. now trying to find a home for a grey J reg p4, has 92k, new alloys and tyres, new front and rear brakes, solid underneath. it's in York. I'll get some pictures tomorow and add them to here, asking around the £600 area.

Sounds too good to be true - would have thought a good condition P4 would be worth more than £600

I know it's a common enough issue, mine was starting to go when I sold it, but is it an easy fix or a bit of an expensive one to deal with?

I like the look of this car, let us know if the interested party fails to buy (although that may raise questions about why they didn't want it!)

Apparently it's not that hard to fix and should cost around £150 - £200. Need to get a couple of opinions.

Forgot to mention it has a new clutch and Paul had the gearbox fully rebuilt as there was an issue with 3rd. All 100% now. Very Happy

I did my filler cap last year and it was a bit of a bugger to do but the end result was good. If you plan on doing it don't forget to check the inner arch ,On mine it was rotten at the top, which made welding panel alittle easier as there's a bit of a gap between the arch and the panel, also it allowed me spray and protect the inside of the filler panel witha few coats. Also double check if the repair panel is and s3 or s2/s1, made that mistake myself.[/i]
