Having rebuilt my 16v engine, it started first time and has been running for a couple of weeks.

Now it wont start. I've got a spark, if I unbolt the fuel rail slightly, fuel squirts out, and the plugs are dry.

I assumed the injectors weren't firing. If I put a volt meter on the injector connector and crank the engine it registers 0.5 volts and drops to zero. That's not right is it?

Lashed together a T2 tester which gives error code 1-2-2-2,

a) Short circuit to ground of the final stage of the idle adjustment actuator, or circuit interrupted.

b) Short circuit to battery positive pole of the final stage of idle adjustment actuator.

Where's the idle adjustment actuator please!?

On front of air intake chamber, near alternator.

Thanks

So what is

"the final stage of idle adjustment actuator".

Does it indicate a fault in the actuator itself, or in the wiring between the actuator and ECU?

Proceded to

"Output periphery test"

as detailed in Scott's info.

Does first test of injectors (injectors clicking, code flashed on light). Procede to 2nd test for Idle adjustment actuator activation, and the actuator gives a dull "tock", and buzzes. No code flashed on light. Is this proof that it's faulty?
