Hi guys, David Winter has sent me details of his lovely 1.7 ie which is now for sale, here are some pictures of it.
The white line down the side is a reflection of the pavement & not a mark on the car
David has owned the car for 7 years & has only covered 3800 miles in that time as it was only used as a summer car, all it's maintenance has always been done by Graham Eddy Motori in Cornwall who really knows his stuff. It has recently had a new windscreen, clutch & 4 new tyres. It is MOT'ed until April 2014 & currently has a bit of tax too.
Any sensible offers considered. _________________ 155 sportpack

Hello mate,
what happened with the wagon? A good pal of mine is looking for one, any condition considered, so long as it's running.. |

The sportwagon in question is £2000 ish. I recently found another though, it's not on the road but turn the key & she runs well. I'll get pictures of it on here next week.
Seems the sportwagons are fetching half decent money these days, we found out last week that only 37 series 3 sportwagons were ever sold in this country! Bloody rare machines. _________________ 155 sportpack

Hi Alex, I think we were misled on that figure. We were more accurate with our guesses of around 200.
My 33 TI has just been valued at £2000. _________________ Owner's Club 33 Registrar. Now from P4 & S2 1.7 QV

After re reading emails Paul yes I think you're right, the guy I get some of my figures from is sometimes a bit vague. Like you pointed out Paul in 1994 there were about 180 16v sw on the road.
Good to hear you're ti got a decent valuation, although sad to know the circumstances. _________________ 155 sportpack

Paul,
Where/how did you get your TI valued? From Alex's reply I assume you are possibly thinking of selling?
My 33 has just passed it's MOT today (just needed a rear wheel bearing- no biggy), and having only done just under 400 miles since the last one a year ago, i'm thinking if I could get what I would want for it I might pass it on to someone that's gonna use it.
With insurance , tax, mot test and fuel those 400 miles have cost me over £1.30 each and I'm struggling to justify keeping two cars and a bike!

Hi John, Saga insurance valued my car - Sue crashed her Mondeo into a tree stump so I lent her the TI till the Mondeo was fixed. 3 days later a Vauxhall Zafira 'driver' piled into the back of her at a roundabout. A bit of whiplash for Sue and an estimate of £7,500 to repair. So took the cheque and got the car back here to strip today. _________________ Owner's Club 33 Registrar. Now from P4 & S2 1.7 QV

Bad news. Two words say a thousand - 'Vauxhall' and 'Zafira'...
Hope Sue is ok.
