Okay next problem. Clutch was working, but slave cylinder leaking. Took off leaking one and left pipe up in the air for a few days. So fluid level in reservior stayed almost the same near max. Put new one on 3 days ago. Tried to bleed it today, but only air coming out - can't seem to get any fluid. Not really sure what has happened. Anyone know what I need to do to sort this out? _________________ Owner's Club 33 Registrar. Now from P4 & S2 1.7 QV

Hi,
Had a similar thing with my Dad's Minari, turned out to be a tired clutch master. No signs of leakage or anything and the clutch worked before bleeding, it was just like the master had lost all effort.
You could try one of those easybleed type gizmos where you pressure bleed the system incase it's an airlock. Another thing is to try and reverse bleed through the slave nipple backwards with tubing and a big syringe- this is something bikers do as bike front brakes can be a cowson to bleed particularly from dry.
Good luck.

try pushing in the rod as much as you can and bleed as usual, once fluid comes out, bleed using the rod to expell any air and then bleed as usual from the pedal. _________________ x2 33 16v

Yes the Eezibleed kit is particularly useful for clutches.
£20 well spent I think. I bleed all my vehicles with it. _________________ Alfa33 QO 1984
