Hi Guys,

I need some new ht leads for a 1991 Permanent 4 (non-cat). All the motor factors list only for the 1.7 ie 16v. Can I use these leads, or if not can anyone help me finding a source for reasonably priced, decent quality leads?

Any advice approeciated.

cheers

Magnecor leads are superb. Leads from any of the 16v engines should fit.

Hi
16v orignal leads have longer spark top cap which enables you to grab it easily, some also could be unscrewed from lead wire so you would have only cap to fiddle around.
I have normal Bosch leads on my P4, and I allways need to made little lasso around cap to pull it out.

Thanks for the info guys. I wasn't sure that any 16v leads would fit.

Have gone with a set of standard leads this time as the Magnecor will take about 10 days (and are also 3 times the price!) and I need the car to work now. Problems with starting in the damp!

cheers,
Ben

http://www.magnecor.co.uk/stockists.htm#european

And yup, magnecor may be expensive, but where else do you get a 10 year guarantee on a set of ht leads?

Id like to take this opportunity to point out that buying extra good ht leads will not result in your car being more powerful than with stock leads in good condition. These things are often mis-sold. For good reasons to get them, go see magnecor.com

10 years! I wonder what the chances of the car still being around then will be Wink
