|
|
Having only had my 33 for 4 days now I've been reading quite a bit of stuff on here and other forums.
It's a 1993 non-cat 16v sportwagon, anyway I might as well use this post to ask a question. I want to change the cam belts before I use it too much, can anybody recommend any good Alfa parts places in the NW (UK) or online? Initially for the belts and tensioners, but no doubt other stuff too.
PS expect more questions soon _________________ Cheers

Hi,
I can recommend www.alfashop.co.uk. Original equipment at good prices.
They do DAYCO cambelts, Valeo stuff like waterpumps, rads, clutches, etc.
My family have had numerous Alfas, and have used Alfashop many times.

Their website seems to be just a holding page, do you have any other details for them? _________________ Cheers

Just to let you all know, the parts were ordered from Alfashop at about 16.30 on Thursday and arrived here Friday am, so I'll definitely use them again .
Yellow strut bearings fitted yesterday , just need to do the cambelts tomorrow now. _________________ Cheers

2 yellow strut bearings
2 cam belts
4 tensioner / idler wheels
1 water pump
Added up to £118 including VAT + delivery.
BUT, I found out today after taking the old belts off that they have sent the wrong belts . So I'll have to ring them tomorrow and try to sort that out. _________________ Cheers

Price seems pretty reasonable, tho in a sense you dont know yet what the correct price should be so wont hold breath just yet, what colour sportwagon have you got? See you live in preston, I'm just up road in lancaster, went to norfolk and bought mine today, looked at one behind a dealership in lancaster but it was knackered, engine wouldn't start, both front doors wouldnt open, been stood two years, mushrooms growing out of carpet etc but it's same colour as mine (met grey) so was thinkin of chasing it up as donor car... havent told my girlfrioend yet tho, hehehe |

Red (still red, not pink)
I've only had it a week or so, still sorting a few things out on it so not driven it much. _________________ Cheers
